Welcome to the Drenan Lab

The Drenan Lab seeks to understand how acetylcholine acts as a neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, and we wish to understand how nicotine inappropriately modulates cholinergic transmission to enable nicotine dependence. Approaches used include physiology, optical imaging, chemical biology, pharmacology, behavior, and others.   

The Drenan Lab is located in Winston-Salem North Carolina, at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
